Two Grass Fed Mutton Chops
 
Mutton refers to the fact that it is an older animal, usually a cull Ewe, rather than Lamb which is under 12 months old. Mutton is deeper in flavour with slighty more fat and marbelling. Most cuts will require a slightly longer cooking time to bring the best out of this delicious meat.
 
The lamb and mutton we sell is raised using regenerative methods by the wonderful shepherd Ross Simpson in Wroxall. The sheep are raised 100% grass fed with no routine wormers, castration or tail docking.
